Royal Hapan Joint Forces Command
Royal Hapan Joint Forces Command
"There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, learning from failure."
The Royal Hapan Joint Forces Command (JFC) is the newest addition to the military structure to receive the designation of a stand-alone branch. Its purpose is to improve the interoperability, response times and levels of coordination of the various service branches. Organizationally, it combines such elements as would’ve previously functioned within the separate service arms headquarters units and as branch specific offices and departments, with the intent to reduce overlapping chains of command and streamline defence coordination, bringing them together as combined directorates of the Joint Forces Command. It can thus be thought of as the banding together of the various support taskings in the form of permanent joint services Task Forces.
The Joint Forces Command includes the Star Home Academy, the Directorate of Cluster Defence, as well as the Directorate of Military Reserves, Directorate of Military Intelligence, as well as the Special Forces Command.
Star Home Academy
The Star Home Academy (SHA) was founded in the year 4042 and has taken over providing education for new recruits of the Hapes Consortium as a whole, while continuing the proud traditions of the Royal Hapan Military Academy. Nestled in the Millinar system, where its main campus and training grounds are located in the vicinity of a Royal Hapan Armed Forces base, the Star Home Academy also maintains bases and higher education facilities on both Hapes Prime and Lorell.
Cluster Defence
The Directorate of Cluster Defence is the joint service command centre charged with monitoring all information provided through its command network from the various Royal Hapan Armed Forces elements and coordinating a response when a threat is detected anywhere within the borders of the Cluster or its near vicinity. It is an integral part of the Royal Hapan Armed Forces' ability to respond to any unforeseen threat elements within its jurisdiction in a timely and effective manner. Its officers and leadership are provided on a rotating basis by the main three service branches.
Military Intelligence
In response to the ever-increasing demand for more tactical and strategic military intelligence from within and outside of the Cluster to feed the databanks of the Ministry of Intelligence and the Cluster tactical command overview of the Directorate of the Cluster Defence, the Directorate of Military Intelligence is tasked to carry out the duties once held under the auspices of the Naval Reconnaissance Office, as well as for coordinating with the Ministry of Intelligence on the collection of information on its potential military adversaries.
Special Forces Command
The Directorate of the Special Forces Command serves as the unified mission control for all the special forces units belonging to the Royal Hapan Navy, Marines and Army, authorizing and coordinating the special forces activities within and outside of the Cluster that are being carried out in the name of Hapes Consortium.
