Hapan Jubilee Celebrations Commence!

The introductory sequence of the Hapan News Network begins with images of the Consortium's worlds flashing across the screen accompanied by the uplifting theme melody. As the segment comes to an end, Anacia Chalcedon appears on screen before the familiar backdrop of live images from the Lorell Hall on Hapes. She smiles before addressing the viewers:
“Good evening Hapes!
It is a special occasion for us all of us here at the Hapan News Network Broadcasting Headquarters to witness fireworks erupting over the skies across the whole of Hapan space, as each planet’s capitol joins in on the Jubilee Celebrations that begun mere moments ago on Hapes at Lorell Hall, the seat of Hapan government.
For a full month from this day onward, Hapes Consortium will commemorate the peace that has reigned for the last fifty years, ever since the realm was united anew by the peace accords that brought an end to the terrible Hapan Civil War, as well as ushered in a new era of rebuilding, of modernity, and eventually one of greatness and prosperity, as the reign of the Queen Mothers and their feudal dynasties came to an end.
In addition to recognizing this remarkable milestone which invokes in equal measure great hope for the future of all Hapan peoples, the celebrations are so too held in honour of the decade of service on the Hapan Throne by His Majesty Zayth Rai'ix Chume Kadrim.
Zayth I, having now served as King for as long as King James I did between years 4027 and 4040, has invited many of the foreign Heads of State and their high representatives to Hapes Cluster for the occasion to join in with the celebrations around the upcoming changing of the year.
As part of the Jubilee Celebrations, numerous official events and activities all across the Cluster are planned for the public to partake in during the coming weeks, as Fountain Palace has decreed an extended holiday period to have begun a month earlier than usual, lasting from today on for the entirety of the coming seven weeks!
In addition to the great number of sports and entertainment activities being held over the coming weeks, many open-air art exhibitions and installations have been erected across the Hapan worlds to commemorate the occasion. At the same time, all public museums, alongside many classical music concerts, theater and opera plays, as well as art galleries and private palaces alongside their parks, will be open and free to the public to visit during these weeks, with some requiring registration ahead of time, due to the high volume of visitors being expected.
Public parks and nature reservations will be open around the clock, and the government is providing free public transportation from the main population hubs to many of the fantastic resort and preservation worlds that are less known amongst the populace.
Military parades will be held on the celebrations’ closing days, and many garrisons and service branches will join with many civil institutions in arranging guided tours to some of the most famous public sites public during the jubilee celebrations.
In addition, it is believed that casual travel to Lorell has been suspended to foreign citizens for the duration of the celebrations, and security officials want to reassure the public that they are confident in being able to keep even the largest crowds safe to mingle in, as street carnivals and festivities get underway in this little corner of the galaxy of ours, now home to more than a trillion sentients already.
