Changes to MotI leadership and the Criminal Act

The Fountain Palace has held a brief press conference to follow up on the previously announced changes in leadership of Ministries of Defence and of the Interior, as well as to announce an amendment to the Criminal Code.

The previously announced transition of Minister Xesh Randell from the helm of the Ministry of the Interior to oversee the Ministry of Defence has been moving at an expected pace, with news regarding the planned adjustments to the command and operations of the Royal Hapan Armed Forces expected to be publicized over the coming month.

The transition of Minister Randell to oversee MoD has necessitated changes in the key roles within the Ministry of the Interior, with the following appointments having been made;
Har Tay, who has previously served as the Minister of Industry, will be taking over the role of Director to the Department of Personnel, and will additionally become the acting Deputy Minister of the Interior.
Beliar Stargazer, whose previous service record remains largely classified from his period with the Ministry of Intelligence, will be taking over the duties as the Director to the Internal Security Services.
Kuro Lorell, who has been serving in the Royal Hapan Armed Forces and in the Office of Hapan Recruitment, has been appointed as the Director of the Office of Hapan Recruitment.

The Royal Council wishes them the best of luck with their new duties and the challenges to come.

In addition to the announced personnel changes in the leadership of the ministry, the Royal Council has agreed on an amendment to the Criminal Code, Chapter V on contraband, which will enter force on the Hapan date of day 60, of the present year 4045.
