Members of the Hapan Environmental Management Program (HEMP) held a benefit dinner and garden show last night in the city park, to raise money for their ongoing efforts to protect and promote the luscious greenery of Dathomir’s renowned forests and public spaces. Though at times it was difficult to distinguish the meal’s garnish from the surrounding exhibits of local flora, everyone who attended seemed to greatly enjoy both the meal and the lush scenery of the park, augmented by specimens that HEMP brought in especially for this notable evening.

Guests ranged from the most elite of the planet’s businessmen to perfectly ordinary citizens who still wanted to do their part to preserve the elegant beauty of Dathomir’s plant life. In the words of program coordinator Susan Asters, “If we can save just one flower, we will have done the whole planet a service. We encourage people to give whatever they can—even the smallest of donations is greatly appreciated.”

Speakers at the event addressed the small crowd from an ivy-covered podium adorned with beautiful Hapan roses, and spoke on such topics as Proper Garden Maintenance, What HEMP Does For Dathomir, and the Elegance of the Orchid. All members of the community are invited to attend HEMP’s next fund-raising event early next month.
