Hapes Consortium Holosite

Frequently Asked Questions

Your Questions & Answers covered in one place!

  1. Does Hapes use "AI" for its texts or other elements on this site?
We've always prided ourselves in wanting to tell our own stories, and in the thought and craftmanship required to do so: None of the texts on these content pages have or will be 'generated', and our expression of our thinking while imperfect, remains entirely our own.
The same is true as of this writing of all the visual elements used and presented on this site!

Still, outside of the static holosite content pages, we cannot guarantee that we - or anyone posting on this site's news or forum sections - won't be doing so with prompted/generated materials. Similarly, it is likely we will be using 'AI' generated visualizations or illustrations down the line for specific needs behind the login requiring sections of the site.
  2. How do I join Hapes Consortium?
In case you've happened to miss the links to it, we've tried to provide a good look at the joining process on our Recruitment Portal.
Our listed Faction Recruitment Liaisons on the Combine faction information page are able to provide you with further assistance as needed.
  3. Can I rejoin Hapes?
Former members seeking to rejoin Hapes Consortium follow the same process as new applicants. Prior service record and the circumstances involved with their departure as well as foreign endeavours are taken into account, however, when considering partial or full reinstatement of standing upon acceptance.
Please note that re-applying is not needed of members who have simply gone on a hiatus while remaining members and maintaining their citizenship.
  4. How can I contact Hapes?
    For matters of recruitment, please see our listed Recruitment Liaisons, or come say hi to our public embassy;
To contact us about general matters, you are cordially invited to visit us at our Public Discord Embassy, the link for which you will be able to find on our linked SWCombine faction information page.
  5. Where are the forums? Where can I find (y)our Discord information?
Please note that you need to be logged into your member account to view the Community segment links.
The faction information page on SWCombine links to our Public Discord Embassy only.
  6. My holosite member account is locked?
Your account may have been locked for a number of reasons:
    • If you have left Hapes Consortium or our Crown corporations, your member access becomes invalidated.
    • If your account has remained inactive for an extended period of time, it has been automatically locked as a precaution. To get it unlocked, please contact your superior officer or a member of the Royal Council.
  7. What is the stance of Hapes Consortium in the Galactic Civil War?
Hapes Consortium maintains a non-expansive and a relatively isolationist outlook towards the rest of the galaxy, and holds a default stance of neutrality towards all governments, corporations, and organizations in the Galaxy.
For further details about Hapes Consortium's standing foreign relations, please refer to the Ministry of External Affairs' segment on foreign relations.
  8. What territory does Hapes Consortium govern?
Hapes Consortium holds sovereignty over a sector known as the Hapes Cluster, located in the Inner Rim, galactic east of the Core regions. As of hapan year 4037, the Consortium also shares joint responsibility with the Trade Federation over the administration of the Neshig Sector, regarding it thus as part of its expanded Exclusive Economic Zone. Excluding treaties to the contrary, Hapes Consortium maintains its right to police the deep space within and in relative proximity of its borders, and to pursue threats beyond its borders as it deems fit.
  9. Can I become a Hapan citizen?
Unless you are a member of Hapes Consortium or one of its Crown corporation, you cannot become a Hapan citizen at this time. You can check the status of the relevant legislation from the law section.
  10. Can I visit Hapan space?
    • Travel in the territory of the Consortium is strictly regulated and limited, as determined by the Territorial Security Act or other laws. However, the Lorell system - designated for diplomacy and commerce - is an open system that may be visited at any time when restrictions are not in effect; Please be aware that travel even to the Lorell system may be restricted by a government or military decree at a moment's notice, if determined necessary for security, public safety, or Cluster defence purposes.
    • Travel to the planet Hapes for the purpose of retrieving personnel or accessing holdings on the planet Lorell requires authorization. As of hapan year 4046, all agreements via Non-Aggression Pacts for guaranteed access have been voided. Hapes Consortium recommends that new members of the Galaxy employed by foreign organizations make use of the Public [NPC] Transport System to depart Hapes Prime.
    • Requests by the public or foreign organizations for shield access will typically be denied, but you are welcome to submit such requests may be submitted for consideration.
  11. Can I purchase ships, vehicles, items, or weapons of Hapan design?
Regrettably we must inform you that Hapes Consortium does not sell or barter with its distinct indigenous designs and technologies, be it under good fate or through coercion. This stance is attributed to Hapes Consortium's isolationist tendencies and need for cultural preservation.
  12. Does Hapes Consortium provide access to its communication networks to foreign representatives, and who should I contact about business propositions?
While Hapes Consortium welcomes the chance to maintain respectful and cordial relations with all foreign organizations, it limits hosting permanent diplomatic missions, delegations and corporate headquarters or offices on its soil, as well as limits access to its communications networks to such organizations and entities as it has standing relations or ongoing commercial ventures with.
Groups and organizations seeking to negotiate with the government, or those who wish to discuss the possibility of joint commercial ventures, are kindly requested to approach us through the appropriate channels.
  13. Where is the Hapan Star publication?
We have moved it to the Community segment, available to our members.
  14. Was Hapes one of the original factions at the onset of SWC's Darkness-release?
The original groups that were created within the game from the get go, were Galactic Empire and Rebel Alliance as the two main protagonists, and Black Sun and Bounty Hunters Guild as two small 'third party' options. Hapes was among the very first player formed non-faction-groups to spring into existence, and arguably the first great non-faction-group success story.
Hapes grew to first become a recognized Combine Member Group and then become a government faction, even holding the galactic government title (of most populous) for a time after the release of construction and taxes as features into the Darkness game engine brought upon a new era of fierce competition across the galaxy.
  15. How do you use the information accessed via the SWC web services login?
Hapes reserves the right to store, analyse and utilize information from SWC web services privileges granted by users in perpetuity for in-game purposes such as military & defence coordination, security, intelligence, as well as for general data analytics purposes, for improving the site and user experience, or for any other purposes not covered by the aforementioned use cases.
We kindly request you to pay attention to what privileges you are granting when requesting access to different portions of our site or tools, and in case of visitors would like to humbly remind you to be mindful of the restrictions your faction may impose on providing your or their information to us.
