Hapes Consortium Holosite

Appreciation & Special Thanks

For the recognition and enjoyment of the hard work individuals have graciously put forward to make this and our previous websites become a reality.

Hapes Consortium is a government faction - a player run group - in the Star Wars Combine, a free to play, massively multiplayer online role-playing simulation game based on the Star Wars Universe, developed by amateurs in their spare time.

In the same vein everything we have or can show to you here is an outcome of someone having put their head into it, and the countless hours of labour - creative and manual - that was needed to bring ideas into concrete existence. In this portion of our site we commemorate and show our appreciation for all the work without which our holosite in its many different iterations, seen as the Heart of our group, would simply not have existed.

Main Contributors:

Jessy James

The father of Hapes' digital presence; Hosted Hapes' website for closer to two decades from the early 2000's onward, during which he built the most advanced faction website for its time with a genuine enthusiasm and curiosity towards what was possible and interesting, maintaining a great selection of backend tools over the years, and spending an exorbitant amount of time on the different versions of our site ensuring not only their functioning, but the look and feel of them.

Two decades on, Combine veterans still remember the CombatSim and Hapan Market that he created - which are but a fraction of the functionalities that he took a crack at. Even though PHP version count has kept on ticking onward since the original generation of Hapes' holosites, Jessy's far-ranging works and the impact of them are still present and felt here to this very day, and his contributions never forgotten.

Alex Tylger

A titan of Hapan culture and its lore, and widely praised as one of the very best contemporary artists in 2D & 3D graphics in SWCombine, Alex has long been a trailblazer in visual presentation, whose ideas form trends to be copied. His countless hours put towards crafting Hapes' cultural identity through text and graphics are still current and visible everywhere.

Even after several rounds of smaller or larger revisions on this site, and saying farewell to the venerated marvel of the Hapan Library wiki that he built, the foundational thinking on our identity is still very much his, and as omnipresent as the visual elements he created through which true hapan elegance is portrayed.

Zayth Kadrim

Even after more than nine - as of writing this - years of hosting Hapes' site and the immeasurable hours spent on revising the presentation and content found here, I may not consider myself at the level of my predecessors and their greatness at their respective fields (frontend and backend for Jessy, and writing and graphics for Alex), and want to only praise them for the work upon which everything you still see today is based or built upon.

Still, I would like to credit myself for creating the present holosite template you are looking at, and for the considerable amount of work that has gone into redoing from the ground up the presentation and substance of the entire site’s content in the previous and new iteration of the holosite, the content of which by now is in ever greater parts an outcome of my own work after two major and several smaller rounds of revisions, additions and editing. My contributions to the backend side though also increasing, and in less significant parts on the images used, remain comparatively more modest to date.
