Template:Branch-Gov-Rank A Minister is the government official charged with heading up the ministries of Lorell Hall. Altogether, the ministers of Lorell Hall comprise the Prime Minister's cabinet and serves on the Royal Council as the main advisory board to the Sovereign. Today the Hapes Consortium has one minister for each of the seven ministries of Lorell Hall - Culture, Defence, External Affairs, Finance, Industry, Intelligence, and Justice.
History
The present-day Minister were equivalent to the Queen-Mother's Royal Advisors during the Age of Queen-Mothers. The Royal Advisors were typically apppointed by the Queen-Mother and would advise her on matters dealing with the state governance.
Present Day
In 4026, the first modern-day Cabinet was established under the first Prime Minister of the Hapes Consortium, Lord Alexander Tylger, who was also appointed Regent by King Andrew Starfyre I. Lord Tylger and his Cabinet of Ministers were charged with governing the Consortium at the time when King Andrew had fallen ill. The inagural Cabinet consisted of three ministers for Defence, Foreign Affairs, and Finance.
The Cabinet of Ministers have evolved and changed over the years, with several ministries (and subsequent ministerial positions) abolished and/or renamed.
