Template:Corporation-Historical The Royal Armaments Guild of Charubah was established in 611 on Charubah in the Charu system following the merger of numerous smaller arms producers under the ownership of House Olanji. Over the course of the Age of Queen-Mothers, Dark Age, Phoenix Age and even the Golden Age, the company supplied the Hapes Consortium with weaponry and weapons-related systems for troops, tanks and ships. One of the company's most famous products was the Gun of Command, now outlawed in most of the Hapes Cluster.

History

Age of Queen-Mothers

The company was established in 611 by the Charubah branch of the Olanji family after it bought up a number of smaller arms producers in the Charu system. In the beginning, it was primarily tasked with producing starship weaponry for Olanji/Charubah. As time went by, the Guild expanded its industrial capacity, drawing on experience and designs used by some of the parties prior to the merger, in order to make small arms and rifles for the Royal Hapan Army.

One of the Guild's historical highlights was the development of the Gun of Command which was completed in 2173, during the Second Antiquity Era. The weapon brought Cluster-wide fame and fortune to the company as it charged an extremely, though justified, high price for the unique weapon.

The Guild was managed by a representative of House Sanjal while a Vilicus from House Olanji functioned as overseer, to ensure that the policies and standards of the owners was maintained.

Dark Age

During the Dark Age, the company's loyalty to the Draconian Union made it the target of countless attacks from hostile factions. As the prime arms supplier of the Union, the company was vital for their war effort. The mass production of the Gun of Command and its frequent use against prisoners of war marked for execution made the company extremely unpopular in parts of the Hapes Cluster. Tears of Dawnstar was a smaller rebel group known for their bombing of numerous Guild production facilities.

During the Hapan civil war the company also experimented with biological weaponry and general weapons of mass destruction, some which were used in the devastating attack on Terephon in 3978

The Phoenix Movement took over the Charu system in 3991, something which crippled a major part of the Guild's industrial capacity. The Phoenix Movement shut down production of the Gun of Command, outlawing it in their territory.

Phoenix Age & Golden Age

The Gun of Command was outlawed in most parts of the Hapes Consortium by the Gallinore Accords of 3999. While the Guild protested strongly to this, the disolvement of House Olanji had severely weakened the political power of the company. It continued to produce weaponry and weapon systems for starships and ground vehicles in addition to small arms for the Royal Hapan Navy, but was starting to feel the effects of loss of income. By 4031, the Guild's use was limited and it was split among remaining shareholders in to a number of smaller companies.

Famous Products

The Gun of Command is undoubtedly the Royal Armaments Guild of Charubah's most famous and profitable product, and was produced continuously between 2173 and 3999. The RAGC-750 repeating pulse cannon was developed in co-ordination with Charubah Industries for deployment with the Cyborg Warriors of Charubah. The rifles were too heavy for ordinary troops to carry and are considered fairly useless to the Royal Hapan Army today.
