Template:Branch-Ministry The Ministry of Culture was established in 4030 and tasked with documenting Hapan history, languages, art, music and other elements of Hapan culture.

The task of running the ministry was given to Lord Tylger who had previous experience as Prime Minister and Minister of Law. He has remained in this position since.

Projects

The largest project undertaken by the Ministry of Culture has been the Royal Hapan Library holonet portal which will function as the largest resource for information on the Hapes Consortium to the outside galaxy and perhaps also introduce many Hapans to aspects of the Hapan culture and history they were previously not aware of. The library is set to open to the public in 4034.

History

The documentation of Hapan history has been the highest priority of the Ministry of Culture since its establishment. Countless hours have been spent documenting forty-five centuries of Hapan and pre-Hapan history within the Hapes Cluster in varying degrees of detail. The most emphasis has been placed on the last hundred years of history, ranging from the last decades of the Decline Era, the Hapan civil war during the Dark Age and on to the Phoenix and Golden Age.

Culture

The documentation of Hapan culture has also received massive attention with the creation of files on everything ranging from Bliz and Tzimernut on to music in the Hapes Consortium. It is expected that this particular part of the Royal Hapan Library will not be fully complete upon initial release.

Language

The Hapan languages are many and rich with dialects and variety. Documentation of these in a sufficient and orderly way has proved difficult and is not expected to be part of the Royal Hapan Library's initial release.

Architecture & Society

The Ministry of Culture is involved with ensuring the standard of style across the Hapes Cluster when it comes to massive construction projects undertaken by the Ministry of Industry. The Gormoth Project was the largest such task undertaken by the Ministry of Culture and Gormoth's city-scape is dotted with parks, statues, canals and rows of trees for the benefit of local residents.

In early 4033 the Ministry of Culture also took on the task of restoring the port of Haporium which functions as the gateway to the galaxy for Hapans who wish to pursue careers outside the Hapes Cluster.
