Template:UnderConstruction Template:Battle The Dellalt Conflict was a Hapan military operation in the Dellalt system of the Allied Tion sector during the summer of 4031. Ships from the Royal Hapan Navy initiated a blockade surrounding the planet Gantari in order to protect the Hapan-nationalised Nikklon Mining Incorporated from the forces of the New Anzat Order.
To date it remains one of the largest operations conducted by the Royal Hapan Armed Forces during the Golden Age.
Conflict Roots
Claims to Allied Tion
In 4031 three parties had claims in the Allied Tion sector:
- The Galactic Empire had a default claim to the sector as the galactic government, and considered the sector to be a de facto Imperial sector.
- The New Anzat Order had announced their claim on the sector via the GNS some time in the course of the spring of 4031, but it is uncertain whether this happened before or after Nikklon Mining Incorporated set up operations there.
- Nikklon Mining Incorporated claimed the Dellalt system within the Allied Tion sector. However, due to the company's small size and limited range of operations, its claim on the system was considered invalid by most groups.
Initial Aggression
Nikklon Mining Incorporated had set up operations on the planet Gantari in the Dellalt system from the start of 4031. While nationalised with the Hapes Consortium, the company maintained a number of mining operations in sectors outside the Consortium's sphere of influence.
When news of their operations reached the leadership of the New Anzat Order, they sent a number of diplomats to discuss the situation of the Dellalt system and details regarding jurisdiction. All of the talks ended badly.
The New Anzat Order dispatched warships to Dellalt in order to blockade the planet and keep Nikklon vessels off Gantari. The situation escalated when a capital ship from the NAO naval force landed on a crowd of Nikklon workers on Gantari.
Jeff Corbin, CEO of Nikklon Mining Incorporated contacted the Hapes Consortium as well as other groups and individuals to help sort the situation out.
