Template:Antiquity Era The Antiquity Era (621–1163) was an era of the Age of Queen-Mothers noted for its establishment of a distinct Hapan culture as well as firm feudal rule of systems and world under Hapan nobility. The Tini'duran dynasty is widely regarded as one of the greatest Royal families in Hapan history due to their focus on the development on Hapan society and giving the peoples of the Hapes Cluster a sense of unity and identity.

Monarchy
The Tini'duran dynasty came in to power following the stable rule of the Arxianic dynasty. Queen-Mother Arxianic X died from Gormothian plague on May 17 621 and had named the governor of Cavallero as her successor. Lesvith Tini'duran was crowned on June 1 621 and during the rule of her family, the Hapes Consortium enjoyed 500 years of peace out of 542 years under their rule. The family was notoriously militaristic as they came from a frontier world which had experience with dealing with pirate activity. They saw the need for strengthening of the armed forces and carried out numerous reforms.

Much money from the treasuries of the Royal Family went in to the expansion of all military forces. They promoted competition between the Hapan Consortium and Olanji/Charubah which sparked an arms race between the two with intense build-ups in military research and development.

At the same time, the Tini'duran dynasty reformed Hapan society to that of a feudal one, awarding power locals and governors with titles instead of ranks. System administrators received the title Lady while planetary governors were awarded the title Countess. Colony administrators and local leaders were given the title Baroness. A new system of governance was established with ultimate loyalty to the Queen-Mother above all, and a secondary loyalty to those nobles superior in the chain of command.

Society & Culture
The feudal society introduced by the Tini'duran dynasty was officially established in the Hapan laws on September 14 702 and would remain in place for the duration of the Age of Queen-Mothers and also the Dark Age. It was a very effective form of control in its time which encouraged the local nobility to strive to better their worlds in order to receive further funding and additional resources from Hapes Prime. With the feudal system in place, titles spoke for themselves and there was no need for any established social elite outside that of titles and wealth. Equal schools were established for all Hapan females to attend, despite social status, which brought Hapan society to a higher level.

The dynasty also carried out a number of cultural reforms, establishing the Royal Architectual Guild which was meant to design distinct Hapan building styles and ornamentation to be used throughout the Hapes Consortium. The Queen-Mothers of the Tini'duran dynasty were very interested in promoting the idea of Hapan unity and grandiose socity to lesser governments and culture present in the Hapes Cluster. Queen-Mother Tini'duran VI explained to her advisors that she hoped to sway the populations of Belgor and Vergill to her side with cultural might rather than military might. Despite the architectural wonders that had been achieved during her rule (848–891), she failed to impress the "lesser race". Vergill's location in the Hapan system made it very important to the Hapes Consortium, but only the Hapan population was loyal to the Hapan crown and the Vergillians preferred to stay out of the Consortium's affairs. The failure to sway Belgor did not bother her much as the Hapan government saw little need to control that particular world... yet.

Hapan religions were created during this time-period, but the Royal Family viewed them with great scepticism, not wanting to lose control of the Hapan population to local prophets and preachers acting on the behalf of false deities.

Armed Forces
As the military expanded, the power of the Hapan nobility grew. The Royal Hapan Space Fleet was officially reformed in to the Royal Hapan Navy by Queen-Mother Tini'duran III on November 2 715. Purple Seal Ships were abolished on October 28 702 as there was no longer any need for their service. During Queen-Mother Tini'duran III's reign, the military had cracked down hard on all piracy within the Hapes Cluster and made sure that the Lorell system was a locked door for those wanting to come in... and those who wanted to go out.

The Royal Hapan Navy was split in to two divisions. The Noble Navy for local defence of systems and planets, owned and commanded by local nobility, and the Consortium Navy as its commoner counterpart for the protection of convoys and space-lanes. This separation of nobility and commoners in the armed forces continued to the end of the Age of Queen-Mothers with some shifting degrees of authority of power granted to the Consortium Navy during the different dynasties.

The Royal Hapan Army was also brought under the direct rule of the Hapan nobility, encouraged by victories in the Alsnin Colonial Wars and initial encounters with the Hapani-Vergill race. Stricter military academies under the Tini'duran dynasty led to a higher quality of soldiers for all local armies which were sometimes required to hold their own against pirate aggressors and lesser governments within the Hapes Cluster. Piracy was not so much a threat during this particular dynasty though, due to the supremacy of the Royal Hapan Navy.
