Main article: Royal Hapan Armed Forces
Most Hapans are supporters of the Royal Hapan Armed Forces and many individuals choose it as their career. On some worlds of the Consortium, military service is mandatory and may be required by the local nobility as a means of maintaining a local garrison, though the amount of volunteers across the Hapes Cluster ensures that no draft is necessary for the general armed forces which may be deployed to foreign space.
