Template:UnderConstruction Template:Portal-HapesAF The Ranks of the Royal Hapan Armed Forces have been changed on numerous occasions to fit the needs of the Hapes Consortium. The final and current 15-tier rank structure was decided upon in 4030 when the Royal Hapan Armed Forces reformed under the Ministry of Defence following massive expansion after the Black Sun Crisis.
The Royal Hapan Support Corps was also once a part of the Royal Hapan Armed Forces, but its former rank structure is not included in this article.
Historical Overview
The Royal Hapan Navy underwent a number of reforms and changes in its rank structure prior to the 4030 reform. The reform initially also introduced two separate rank structures within the Royal Hapan Navy. One for the fleets and capital command officers and an entirely different one for the proposed Royal Hapan Fighter Corps. The idea was eventually dropped and the current structure came in to use.
The most significant difference from the old structure and the current lies in the rank Contra Admiral which was previously known as Rear Admiral. The name change was proposed by then Contra Admiral Alexander Tylger.
The rank Grand Admiral which had only been held by Jacevel Canler and Jessy James was dropped from the structure entirely and is now appointed at the will of the Sovereign.
Royal Hapan Army
The Royal Hapan Army has also been through a number of reforms and changes in its rank structure over the years and settled on its current structure following a reform in 4032.
The rank Grand General which had only been held by Pez Harr has not been used since 4027 when it was dropped from the structure entirely and is now appointed at the will of the Sovereign. It is unlikely anyone will be appointed to this rank again.
Other Divisions
Following the Hapan civil war the Royal Hapan Armed Forces were quickly cluttered as the Hapes Consortium hastily attempted to reunify armies from factions that had been enemies in the conflict. The result was differing rank structures and chaos. Of the united powers the Draconian Union remnants were the largest and most powerful, which had a big impact on the structure of todays Royal Hapan Armed Forces.
The rank Grand Marshall was the highest within the Royal Hapan Armed Forces, equal to Grand Admiral and Grand General. Vali Trini'qar, formerly of the Draconian Fighter Corps, held the rank until the outcome of her trial in 4016. No-one has held the rank since.
