The Duchii is the second highest social level within the nobility of the Hapes Consortium. The Duchii-level noble houses governed planets and in some cases continents (mostly on Capital worlds) under the rule of the Tarii during the Age of Queen-Mothers. Much of the same hierarchy was kept during the Dark Age. While subordinate of the Tarii, the Duchii often presided over Dukatii and Turilii as part of their governing duties.

Some Duchii-level noble houses still exist today but have no significant political influence, nor are they represented in Lorell Hall.
