Template:Branch-Ministry The Ministry of Industry was established in 4032 to help organise the massive construction projects of the Hapes Consortium. It has since expanded to take over the role of many defunct departments, now managing everything from construction to the recruitment and hiring of labour force to trade.
Departments
The Ministry of Industry is divided into four major branches, or departments. Each branch of the Ministry is headed up by a senior Civil Servant. These four departments work co-dependently with one another, with the Minister of Industry and the Deputy Minister of Industry as the governing heads.
Infrastructure
One of the four major branches of the Ministry of Industry, the Department of Infrastructure is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of every city, outpost or space station in the Hapes Cluster. The Department of Infrastructure recruits the most talented Hapan architects and engineers to design the Consortium's magnificent cities. Construction teams implement those designs and work tirelessly to build them. Skilled technicians maintain the Consortium's power grids, roads and transit hubs. The very foundations of the Consortium are established by the Department of Infrastructure and it has earned its nickname of being "The Backbone of the Hapes Consortium."
Labour
On every Hapan world, you will find a litany of skillful workers with the determination to produce the very best for the Consortium. Naturally gifted with taste for the arts, Hapans are known throughout the galaxy as perfectionists in their craft. While droids have established themselves as the main source of labor, the Department of Labor utilizes the unique pool of Hapan laborers in every aspect of industry. Construction, mining, and shipbuilding are just some of the areas that the Department of Labor places qualified workers in. It is the combination of laborer and droid alike that allows for the beauty of Hapes to manifest itself. The Department of Labor, as the "Workforce of the Hapes Consortium," makes that happen.
Resources
The Hapes Cluster is filled with planets rich with minerals, gases and other natural resources that supply the materials needed to build and maintain the foundations of the Hapes Consortium. The Department of Resources oversees the prospecting and mining operations being performed in Hapan territory. Materials that are mined are then shipped to storage facilities located all over the Cluster. This department is considered "The Lifeline of the Hapes Consortium" as Hapan resources are necessary for the construction of its marvelous cities and space stations and for the production of the renowned Hapan starships.
Trade
Trade and commerce runs any government, and the Consortium is no exception. Situated in Lorell, the "Trade Center of the Galaxy," the Department of Trade oversees not only intracluster trade, but intergalactic trade as well. The Consortium, rich in history and pride, requires strict guidelines and careful scrutiny over what comes into the Cluster and what goes out. The Department of Trade is responsible for the establishment of trade laws and regulations, as well as the security of the Hapan trade hubs and stations throughout the Hapes Cluster.
